Dr James Tate of ITS appeared on BBC's The One Show on Tuesday 14 January. He was in Sheffield, discussing the proposed reduction to the speed limit on the M1, which is expected to improve air quality.
In the segment, Tate discussed concerns about nitrogen dioxide emissions from diesel engines in urban driving. He noted that EU legal limits on nitrogen dioxide are currently being exceeded. Equipment was used to measure pollution levels in the city and to measure emissions from presenter Tony Livesey's diesel car.
